This time of year....

The end of September for the past three years has been way hard for me... Its a rough one I guess you could say. September 26th, my best friend Shelbie McAffee turned 19. She passed away Sept. 30th, 2007 in a horrible car accident, on her homecoming date.

That weekend changed my life's path entirely... I couldn't handle the death very well and needed to stay close to my friends and family. So I moved from St. George, where I was living at the time to Heber. That's when my life started....

Shelbie was my best friend. The only person I really hung out with or talked to for 2 years, she was my little sister or I like to call her my soul sister.

She's been with me everyday since....
The day I got married she was the bird in the window hovering during the ceremony.
When I had McGuire she left an angels kiss on the back of his neck.
During my nieces prom and Shelbie's prom, she sat by me while we watched her friends dance.
During her senior year homecoming game, she sat next to me, literally nobody would sit next to me on my right side., and it was crowded...
I know she is still here when I need her, to be my guardian angel.
To see that I am safe and never alone.

My best friend, my soul sister....
I love her so much and she has taught me that we need to love each day as it were our last... she did. And to love everyone, even our enemies...
I know I will see her again someday and be able to give her a big hug! Til then I see her in my dreams, and we spend every night there....

Love you Shelbie Rose!

Boys will be boys

As I put McGuire down for a nap today I thought that maybe he actually would just fall asleep... IN MY DREAMS would that ever happen. I know it takes at least two times to get him to sleep. BUT he was being so quiet I thought maybe today was an exception.  Was I sooo wrong, twenty-five minutes later I heard some giggles, so I had to peek. This is what I saw.....

Yeah thats baby Powder! It was a winter wonderland in McGuires room! I of course was laughing, but the clean up was not a laughing moment. LOL Boys will be boys!

Stay tuned for another adventure

First week of School is done!

If you haven't been notified yet, I'm working for the Midway Elementary School as a 1st Grade Aide. After one week and a horrible head cold/cough later.. I LOVE IT! I have learned so much from all of these cute kids and I actually get excited to get ready for work. Don't get me wrong, All that stuff in the barn was a blast and I do miss working there cuz of my interests in home decor. But these kids make you laugh so hard all day long with their curious questions.

To be called teacher is so much fun, I'm actually thinking of going to night school to get my degree in teaching... What do you think?!? Taylor thinks its a great idea, he's seen the happiness in me all over again.

Adventures in our house lately....

We went to the lake last week to test a boat and make sure that it is in working order... It was working just fine and dandy until McGuire and I get on that boat. Right as soon as we got on that boat, in the middle of Deer Creek, the boat breaks down. I kinda have a fear of being abandoned on a boat. Even though its just a lake and there really isn't that far of a distant between us and land (1/2 Mile) I was starting to freak out inside. Finally after a half hour of hearing cussing and crying from almost everyone on the boat. It started! Then broke down, AGAIN! McGuire could sense my tension and started getting really frustrated... and again it started again and we chugged our way to shore. Lol I remember why I don't like the lake and boats and such. But everyone was safe and it was an adventure for sure! :)

This is Taylor and McGuire walking to the lake. They are each others best friends! :) ITs the cutest thing ever.

McGuire is getting to be so big! He is talking in sentences, telling us what he needs, wants and doesn't want.
He definitely sings alot! He knows the first part of the ABC's and he counts down to when he jumps. Instead of walking with mom, he leaps from step to step that I take. He's this little ball of energy and its so fun! Everyday he is learning, and going on great adventures with his friends!

Stay tuned for some more great news coming soon! :)

To be Continued....

So the last post I had on here was about waiting ten days until something big was going to happen, well sorry to get everyone's hopes up... it didn't happen! :( Hopefully by the end of this month the special and exciting thing will happen, and I'm not going to let any of you know until it actually DOES happen! :) Then I can take pictures for you and etc! :)

Everything has been CRAZY in the Apartment of the Daggs'! McGuire is growing more and more and getting smarter by the second! He knows how to out smart me, Taylor and the cat now. Its kinda scary to tell you the honest truth. He opens the doors for me when my hands are full, he loves to hide in cabinets when we are looking for him, he tells you to stop when your annoying him. Its really funny all the things he really does. He has to be EXACTLY like his daddy. Always wants Daddy now, not mommy. Its kind of a bummer, but thats the way of life, and you know what, its gonna be ok. :)

More adventures are pending! Plenty more to come!
