New years Resolution!

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE!!!!
To some people it is a time to party, stay up until midnight and watch the year 2011 go away! Well I'm not one of those kind of people. I hang out at home with my family, play some board games, eat cheese and crackers, and watch my favorite movie from the year before! Seems silly but I love it! Its a great tradition that I have always done with my family!

As I look back through the year, its been a very interesting year.

We've been through 5 jobs combined (part-timers). Moved twice, but stayed in the same ward. Been through two cats, and have one fish. Non-stop trial of potty training. Been on a train twice, WITH Santa!

It is that time of year where we make goals, try it for two weeks and then say screw it!

This year I am dead set on making my goals achievable and I am going to Achieve them!

Here is the Personal goals of Stefanie:

Be a better support for my family
Show more compassion
Read the BOM w/ hubby and finish by 2013
Lose weight (yes I know, so predictable) 30-40 lbs is the goal by August 2012. Before and afters hopefully will be taken
Keeping a food log and HONESTLY entering my calorie intake ;)
Exercise at LEAST 2 days a week.
Always have positive adittude
Make new friends, keep the old ones
Read one book a month (if not more) and finish it
Love endlessly

Family Goals:

Be potty trained by Feb. 2012
Save money for a house- to own NOT rent!
Buy another car (we only have one right now)
Move into our own place by May
Play, learn and love always!

Hopefully we can achieve these goals!
I guess we'll have to wait and see :)

Happy new Year everyone!

Holidays

Happy Holidays EVERYONE!

After all the parties, food, and entertainment I am ready for a vacation! But life has to go on... I just have to share a few pics, McGuire is into this new superhero pose or battle pose. I absolutely ADORE it! It just shows to me if there is ever a "super villian robot, dinosaur or scary eyes" McGuire will rescue me! :)

This first pic is of McGuire Being a Home depot little helper. They were handing these out for free at the depot one day and my mom just had to have it for the grandkids! Check it out!

Superhero/battle pose :)

Now we are to just McGuire being McGuire, He made a gingerbread house at day care, it pretty much spoiled his dinner... but since its his first ever gingerbread house I'll let it pass :)

Yummy!! I had to make it somewhat healthy with the cuties. lol

We had a christmas party at my brothers house a few weeks ago. Little info, Dave is a HUGE BYU fan. Our family on the other hand, we just watch it if we can.. Anywho, McGuire found this helmet...
He came to me and said look mom... Taylor and I were embarassed due to him snooping around. David was pleased to see he chose that helmet. LOL

Pics from last night was probably the most I could get from McGuire. He is not a camera person, so we had a hayday. Here is the evidence :)

Suprehero pose again

We're both saying cheese

My phone does the you see yourself camera.. McGuire LOVED it! One of hid quotes.. "Oh look mom, look at Guire! He's so cute! Mc-Guire your so cute!"
This picture is of him sayin that. I laughed so hard!

McGuire is an angel in my life and I am so blessed to be able to be his mother, the one he runs too for anything. He may have his temper tantrums, his screaming fest, and hitting marathon. But even in the hard times of the behavior, potty time and nap times I love him with all my heart!

Trains, Trains, Trains!!

Lately all McGuire has wanted is Trains, and after the polar express, we ALWAYS have to make a detour to see the big train on our way to Heber! On Dec. 3rd the heber creeper had a deal going on for a daytime train ride for only $3.00!! If you brought a can of food it was free.. It was alot better I thought because we could actually see where the heck we were at. Still there was no snow, but we didn't care, McGuire was having the time of his life on that train with his Gama and Gapa. We had some cousins come too which made it really enjoyable!

Of course who do you think came on the Train at the pit stop! You got it Banta Saus!!! McGuire loved it, he got to tell him what we wanted for Christmas, got a hug and a big bag of candy! Can you guess what he said? "Banta, you get me trains ok?! You come to my house and get me my trains!"

McGuire and Banta Saus talking!

On that night Taylor and I had a date night, it was fully dedicated to me.. Why you ask?!? I turned 24 that following Monday.. So we went to Sushi Ya (I've been craving for 9 months) and Breaking Dawn. In between we went to Artic Circle for Taylor, he was such a sport and tried sushi, I wasn't expecting him to even bare the smell. It was a great night of my stuff to do. I felt bad cuz it was a girls night thing to do. But since I don't really have the time or money for the girls night stuff, we saved up to go that night! Thanks babe!!!

Story time really quick...
I was babysitting my niece Halle on Monday and I was making my favorite birthday dinner (chicken Parmeson)... while I was breading my chicken Halle looks at it with full disgust, then looks at me and goes "EWWWWW! Gross, What-IS- THAT?!?" I tell her, Its our dinner soon Halle. She's just looking at it like I don't think so lady!  So finally I get it all cooked and ready, we are all sitting eating, not a peep comes from the kids (its McGuire's Favorite Dinner too) All of a sudden Halle says with a Mouthful, "Wow, this is good stuff!!!" It made me feel really good, but it was a great laugh for everyone there, this is the most I have heard Halle talk to me. Come to find out, she is a picky eater. So way to go for the Chicken parmeson!

Anyways that is all the fun I can share with you right now. Til next time!! I'm hoping we'll have some good and exciting news coming. Can't jinx it though! Happy Holidays

McGuire is 3!!!

SO McGuire's Birthday was a week and a half ago, I've been so slow at posting lately!!!

We had a great time! We had as many family members over as we could get come to my mom's house for cake and ice cream the day before, It was just easier that way. It was such a great time. McGuire of course got completely spoiled rotten by both of his grandma's! Trains, clothes, cars, puzzles, boots, books, more trains, and cars!
McGuire thinks he is turning four, if you ask him " 'Guire how old are you now?" He will quickly reply, " I'm 'foor'." FINALLY we got him to say he's three! or "Free" So that was a great achievement!

Get Ready....

Blow!

His Favorite part!

His Favorite Toby Train!!!

For another one of his birthday surprises, we got to go on the Polar Express! If you know McGuire lately he is absolutely OBSESSED with trains! It was 7th Heaven for him! It turned out to be great cuz awesome! A friend of mine and her family were there!  We got Hot cocoa and Cookies and sang carols and "BANTA SAUS" came and gave McGuire his very own christmas bell! At the end of the ride, it began to SNOW, McGuire thought he was the boy from the book/movie! IT was a great family activity! Taylor even sang some songs (that was the FIRST time ever!)

When we were singing for Santa

Seeing Santa coming Closer.. that smile is PRICELESS!!!

He's so excited he can't help it!

SANTA!!!

The Polar Express Bell!

The snow storm afterwards!!!

Some cute phrases from McGuire..

We're sitting in the car, I'm getting ready to get out for some fuel, I hear a "Steffff, Steffff" Let me remind you, its just me and McGuire there.... so I turned around and asked "What did you just say?" "Stef, What you doing, mom?" I laughed to hard, I didn't know he knew my name...

Another one is when I had to wake him up to go to Daycare, he looks at me deep into my eyes and says, "Mom, I just want to stay in my bed." Oh man I just wanted to call in sick! It was like music to my ears!

Time out is still and usual punishment for me, even if he is already in time out.

There are so many things that he says that I can't think of right now, but soon I will and I will have to share! Hope you enjoy the pics!

Lately..

Now that the month of October is done, I can give you somewhat of an update! It was Taylor's birthday and we just did a little celebration of going to St. George, it was a great turn out for the weather and visiting my sister down there!

During the month of October we adopted a little family member, her name is Izzy the kitty! She is such a joy in our life! She's just so perfect in our family because she doens't have ANY CLAWS! :) So if McGuire decides to annoy her, she'll swat at him but the result of the crying little boy isn't because he got scratched, its because his feelings were hurt. She is just a cuddle bug from the start. At first she loved Taylor and try to give him kitty kisses, but now she adores me and follows me everywhere! She is my bed buddy too! Unfortunately we had to give her to someone else who was in need of a cat more then us. We moved to my parents house so we can get back on our feet. I'm not going lie I am REALLY sad that she's gone.. Its like a lost a friend to a certain point.

Anyways.. As I mentioned above is that we moved to my parentals.. its been a life adjustment, but its been really nice not having to worry about some bills, so now we can actually get back on our feet and be able to live a normal livleyhood without the worries of paying or getting something taken away from us. I especially like it because I get to sleep in my old bed. McGuire went from a little day bed to a KING SIZE bed!!! Talk about spoiled.. he likes to share with me and Taylor though, I think its just a life adjustment that we're all going to have to get used too!

So for the Thankful thing this week...
MY FAMILY! They are always so supportive of me and Taylor and always willing to give me and my little family a helping hand... They help me so much with all the everyday struggles of life.. I don't know where I would be with out them! Love ya Fam.. if your reading this, Thank you for being so good to me and my little family!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOVE! and update

First off! Its My hubby's Birthday!!! 24! I love you babe so much and can't believe its been another great year already!

So its been a while since I have posted anything! Reason being.. My internet at home is SHUT OFF! The economy has made me think of money and how valueable it really is! So sorry about the delay on it!

The month of September is always a toughy for me emotionally. Its the month of my Best friends Birthday and she went to heaven four years ago. She would have turned 20 this year. Its just crazy to me how much has happened since then. Its a very tough situation for me cause after she went to our heavenly father, my life altered completely. The gleeming sun and shining stars are a reminder to me that she is smiling down on her loved ones and looking after us. She left a little angel kiss on McGuire's neck for me to know she was watching over him in heaven for me. Usually that mark either goes away or turned brown like a birth mark.. but this one is still red, as if it were fresh! I love you Shelbie Rose McAffee and always will!

Since I have last posted, we have been struggling to potty train McGuire. Tackled some bills, and trying to find a home and enjoying life at its best!

McGuire is probably the most stubborn child I have ever met! He gets it from his daddy, and just the tiniest bit from his mommy ;) Everytime I ask him if its potty time, he says "No mom! I'm fine" really quickly. So I ask him again also reminding him that he goes he either gets a sticker, temporary tatoo or a sucker.. Then he decides to try. Instead of sctually going he pretends, waits til bath time and go in the water. We love that clean up.
He is such a hoot also with the things he says to me. I get sent to time out for not getting to his every need. I get told that he is in charge and of course the " I love you mommy Soooo much"

Taylor and I were thinking of moving to St. George to get a fresh start and enjoy the heat (snow and winter time can shove it!) Its an area that I love and that he has never really spent time at. So we went down there for a few meetings a little while a go and we're waiting to see the results soon, I hope that I hear good news soon!

Pray for us and I will check in shortly with pictures and news hopefully!

Summer is here!

Friday was the last day of school and boy was it an emotional day fro me.. I never thought that I could love a job so much in my life! The kids all gave me my lst hugs of the school year as the skipped and leaped away to their fun little summer they are going to have...

Til next year our family is going to have a lot of stuff to do! My Goals are to learn how to drive a motorcycle. Get ready for college in the fall and work my tail off so we can afford the best bike for McGuire. Also a major goal for me is to lose the weight that I have gained in the last year and a half. So my wight loss goal is at least 20 pounds, if not more! I will be blogging on my progress throughout the summer :)

Taylor is working his tail off for 18 hours days. 6 days a week. I'm so proud of him for achieving his goals and loving the jobs that he has.

McGuire's goals this summer is to ride the motorcycle with dad as much as possible. Learn to go potty like a big boy so he can earn his fish and fish tank :)

Here's a sneak preview!

Blowing bubbles.. we literally do it all day long!

Motorcycle rides with dad!

McGuire's own motorcycle, he likes to pretend that he is just like dad.

This is McGuire's "I'm going to do something your not going to like in just a minute" face :)
