Movie Critic Time

If I was a movie critic.....
I would have given the Hunger Games a good 4 1/2 out of 5 stars.... It was probably the best movie I have seen in a while. They kept to the book closer then other movies, it had some comedy, some love moments, and I will admit I cried 3 times in the movie, ( I myself am no cryer when it comes to movies).
Taylor was so cute and had me update him on what was going on, some of the things you knew cuz of the book. Taylor only heard the book when I told him about a great part. So he was a little lost.

They missed out of a few things, but I mean you can only cramm in so much in a movie time. The Actors were a great pick and Hit the charactristics of each one PERFECTLY!
One thing I will add... Do NOT sit by little 12 year olds, they will make you want to lean over to them and tape their mouths shut. And don't give them a HUGE bucket of popcorn.. It will spill all over you too!

The Thanksgiving pointe Theater is AWESOME! Dinner and a movie in one place! Its pretty awesome, and you can eat it in there, during the movie!

YAY! So Exciting!

Last night Hunger Games the movie came out in theaters, I was really bummed that I couldn't go that night.. and that I most likely will not be able to go this weekend due to not have a babysitter.... Well my sweet hubby pulled some strings and got us a sitter, so we get to go watch a movie I have been WAITING for, for like 3 months! Thanks babe! YAY for tonight! If any of you have seen it, GREAT job! If not well I'll give you my feedback.

Just a thought

I believe in weird stuff sometimes... so bare with me, I have to just share my thoughts :)

Close to 5 years ago my best friend was taken from us here on earth, it was the hardest time in my life to go through. It made a huge transformation in my life. I moved back home, lost a job that was awesome, lost my identity again, went into major depression.....

Ever since that day of misery and loss, I have dreams of her... I believe that she can communicate with whoever she wants thru dreams. Some dreams we are at a diner, with all our friends; other times we are just in her room, or my car (where we would always be) She always has great words of wisdom for me, words of support, inspiration and love. It is always what I need to hear during the time. I just think its such a blessing that something like that can happen. It always puts such a comfort in my heart to know that she is still here with us in spirit, and she really is looking over the people she loves. What a blessing!
Just a thought for the day and a way for me to vent!

Good News!

After a long time of driving, hestitating, discussing and deciding.... We BOUGHT a car! No Financing or anything, it is straight up ours!! I'm so excited about this decision cuz it was a STEAL! Ken Garff Nissan is the place to shop for cars by the way! My expericence there was so good, I would just go back to say hello! They have Massage Chairs, a play room for McGuire , which he absolutely loved! AND free POPCORN! Lol I know I always enjoy the little things!
Our Sales Guy, Billy, was so nice and awesome to us, he made sure we got a great deal! Drum roll please......

2005 Chevy Colbalt, not as big as i wanted (i wanted an SUV or something like it) but this really was such a good deal I couldn't pass it up. It has 117,000 miles and only got it for under $4,000! Automatic Everything, CRUISE CONTROL..... Need I say more. Seriously, it was awesome, now Taylor and I argue on who is going to drive it to work and stuff... lol. But we are so happy about this transaction in our life! So you;ll be seeing us in this fancy car for a while :)

Looking for a Vehicle!

So its come to my attention that I need to get a new vehicle of some kind. Preferrably a SUV/Truck, that includes 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive. And under 5,000.00 :) I know impossible right?!? I totally agree, but I think the impossible is possible sometimes. So if anyone knows or sees a vehicle that is for sell, reasonably nice and safe for my little family. Let me know. I'm on the look out :)

Lately its been an eventful month! On news Years Day we had a tractor come to our house and take a wood burning stove off our hands, McGuire LOVED IT! He wouldn't let the poor guy go with out letting him ride in the tractor first lol!

January is the season of ward basketball to start! Taylor and I love it cuz its something to look forward to other then work. McGuire loves it cuz he can play for a minute then cheer us on while we play! Of Course he gets REALLY frustrated by not being able to play with all the dads out there. But he learns to watch and cheer!



This is McGuire giving Taylor a thumbs up while yelling "Way to go Dad!" about 5 different times. McGuire had to dress up like the team, so he put on a jersey.

Last weekend we went to the Auto Expo, it was more for Taylor and my dad. But we all went for the ride. It ended up being really fun and entertaining. Tow Matar was there from cars, and Mcguire was so excited to see him! We had to get a picture with him!

Mcguire also had to sit in a couple of cars as well! He got mad that he couldn't drive it drive it. Now he tells me, "Mom, I want to drive today, can I drive the jeep?" I say, "Well buddy, in about 13 years I'll let you drive it around." He slumps his shoulders and then says in a quiet muffle, " ok mom."

It makes me laugh everytime we get the conversation going. He says the darnest things! Can you believe ONLY 13 more years and he'll be driving! Time better slow down!

Potty POWER!!!!

WE DID IT!!!!

McGuire is Fully potty trained!!! I no longer have to hassle him, bribe him or even force him to go potty!! It took a lot of us to do get the job done. But we are now free to let him be a big boy!!!

This is such a big deal, now we can save $$$ on Diapers!!! YAY!!! I never realized how much they really were til I had extra cash in my wallet after I got done with the store!

Congrats McGuire for being such a big boy! Now I got to do my end of the deal and get him a motorcycle! :s (I'm in a pickle i think lol)

New years Resolution!

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE!!!!
To some people it is a time to party, stay up until midnight and watch the year 2011 go away! Well I'm not one of those kind of people. I hang out at home with my family, play some board games, eat cheese and crackers, and watch my favorite movie from the year before! Seems silly but I love it! Its a great tradition that I have always done with my family!

As I look back through the year, its been a very interesting year.


We've been through 5 jobs combined (part-timers). Moved twice, but stayed in the same ward. Been through two cats, and have one fish. Non-stop trial of potty training. Been on a train twice, WITH Santa!

It is that time of year where we make goals, try it for two weeks and then say screw it!

This year I am dead set on making my goals achievable and I am going to Achieve them!

Here is the Personal goals of Stefanie:

Be a better support for my family
Show more compassion
Read the BOM w/ hubby and finish by 2013
Lose weight (yes I know, so predictable) 30-40 lbs is the goal by August 2012. Before and afters hopefully will be taken
Keeping a food log and HONESTLY entering my calorie intake ;)
Exercise at LEAST 2 days a week.
Always have positive adittude
Make new friends, keep the old ones
Read one book a month (if not more) and finish it
Love endlessly


Family Goals:

Be potty trained by Feb. 2012
Save money for a house- to own NOT rent!
Buy another car (we only have one right now)
Move into our own place by May
Play, learn and love always!

Hopefully we can achieve these goals!
I guess we'll have to wait and see :)

Holidays

Happy Holidays EVERYONE!

After all the parties, food, and entertainment I am ready for a vacation! But life has to go on... I just have to share a few pics, McGuire is into this new superhero pose or battle pose. I absolutely ADORE it! It just shows to me if there is ever a "super villian robot, dinosaur or scary eyes" McGuire will rescue me! :)

This first pic is of McGuire Being a Home depot little helper. They were handing these out for free at the depot one day and my mom just had to have it for the grandkids! Check it out!

Now we are to just McGuire being McGuire, He made a gingerbread house at day care, it pretty much spoiled his dinner... but since its his first ever gingerbread house I'll let it pass :)

We had a christmas party at my brothers house a few weeks ago. Little info, Dave is a HUGE BYU fan. Our family on the other hand, we just watch it if we can.. Anywho, McGuire found this helmet...

He came to me and said look mom... Taylor and I were embarassed due to him snooping around. David was pleased to see he chose that helmet. LOL

McGuire is an angel in my life and I am so blessed to be able to be his mother, the one he runs too for anything. He may have his temper tantrums, his screaming fest, and hitting marathon. But even in the hard times of the behavior, potty time and nap times I love him with all my heart! 

Trains, Trains, Trains!!

Lately all McGuire has wanted is Trains, and after the polar express, we ALWAYS have to make a detour to see the big train on our way to Heber! On Dec. 3rd the heber creeper had a deal going on for a daytime train ride for only $3.00!! If you brought a can of food it was free.. It was alot better I thought because we could actually see where the heck we were at. Still there was no snow, but we didn't care, McGuire was having the time of his life on that train with his Gama and Gapa. We had some cousins come too which made it really enjoyable!

Of course who do you think came on the Train at the pit stop! You got it Banta Saus!!! McGuire loved it, he got to tell him what we wanted for Christmas, got a hug and a big bag of candy! Can you guess what he said? "Banta, you get me trains ok?! You come to my house and get me my trains!"

 On that night Taylor and I had a date night, it was fully dedicated to me.. Why you ask?!? I turned 24 that following Monday.. So we went to Sushi Ya (I've been craving for 9 months) and Breaking Dawn. In between we went to Artic Circle for Taylor, he was such a sport and tried sushi, I wasn't expecting him to even bare the smell. It was a great night of my stuff to do. I felt bad cuz it was a girls night thing to do. But since I don't really have the time or money for the girls night stuff, we saved up to go that night! Thanks babe!!!

Story time really quick...

I was babysitting my niece Halle on Monday and I was making my favorite birthday dinner (chicken Parmeson)... while I was breading my chicken Halle looks at it with full disgust, then looks at me and goes "EWWWWW! Gross, What-IS- THAT?!?" I tell her, Its our dinner soon Halle. She's just looking at it like I don't think so lady!  So finally I get it all cooked and ready, we are all sitting eating, not a peep comes from the kids (its McGuire's Favorite Dinner too) All of a sudden Halle says with a Mouthful, "Wow, this is good stuff!!!" It made me feel really good, but it was a great laugh for everyone there, this is the most I have heard Halle talk to me. Come to find out, she is a picky eater. So way to go for the Chicken parmeson!
