84049 to 84032

My Mothers Day gift to my mom and my gift from my mom to me was to be able to move into our own place this weekend! No more noise from the Daggs Family in her house, for now.... I guess the real gift is the quiet she now gets.

It was the most stressful 2 days of my life... I cannot believe how much junk we had and still have...

Mcguire LOVES the new house (that is what he calls it too, the new house) We have a big backyard with dirt, and a big drive way so he is in ultimate heaven! Its the FIRST time we've ever lived in Heber on our own... its weird to be in 84032 Zip code.... :(

I felt really bad for Taylor, poor guy didn't get a break this weekend, he works at least 15 hours days during the week, so weekends he really looks forward to relaxing. We have a lot of heavy things and I couldn't help as much as I would like to with the lifting... the baby really knew where to kick me if I had done too much. So Taylor basically did all the crazy lifting without that much help..

The worst is over, now the unpacking! I LOVE to upack things and put them right where I want to put them! I feel like its the First time I actually get to welcome myself to my home.

Of course I have some decorating to do, and a garden to get planting! Pictures to come!
 Until next time...

Guess I could do a Prego update!

Well I haven't been the best at updating my pregnancy! Shame on me!

For the first 19 weeks its been up and down hill..

First Trimester:
Sickness, nausea MAJOR!
Sleep deprived, moodiness (Taylor says)
Growing pains
Got to see baby through mini ultrasound gadget
Cravings Galour! (Any fast food and pickles)
Eating for an army, times two!
Losing weight (3 pounds total)

Second Trimester (so far):
Nausea gone Finally!
Still have Major cravings (subway, sugar, bananas and watermelons)
Finally getting some sleep!
Happier, and more energetic
Feeling movements

Now that I am 19 weeks along, the time has come to figure out if its a little motorcycle dude, or a pretty princess!!! May 22nd is the day we get to see our little one for the 2nd time, but this time its not just a little wiggle of a heart beat... Taylor would really like a boy, I would LOVE Girl. Any gender is great, I will love the baby all the same!

McGuire is adjusting well to having a mommy with rescricted capabilities... He asks me frequently (every 10-15 minutes) if I'm ok and that he loves me... Even when its nigh-night time, he'll shout the questions loud enough that I can hear him through the walls. He has to say good Morning, and good night to the baby and he LOVES giving the baby loves...

Picture will be coming soon... Sorry kind of a boring one to look at I know...
Til next time!!

Reality strikes!

I guess you don't realize how precious life really is until something horrible happens! An unfortunate event happened over the weekend, and it really bothered me to the point where I couldn't sleep.

The draper accident has really shaken up alot of people in the county. My sister Megan is really good friends with some of the family members, and sadly to say one of them was in the accident. Quincy Draper was the 2 year old that passed away on Monday. Megan was very close to her and her parents, and I have known them for the last couple of years, so this loss has really hit home base for a few of us!

After hearing about the horrible accident, My emotions definitely got the best of me for the last few days. I couldn't think of anything else other then the help that Little Quincy needed from us in our prayers.  She was put on life support and was sent back to our heavenly father, there was too much brain damage. My heart goes out to the Draper families for all the losses and trauma that has occurred!

Heavenly Father really does have a plan for all of us, whether it seem fair to us or not. I know that she is up there helping her little brother, who is to be here in about 5 months, giving him the ins and outs of their mom and dad. Grandma and Grandpa are up there too teaching and loving everyone! Families can be together forever, and this family will be together again.

My prayers go out to Cassidy who is still in the Hospital recovering from the accident and surgery, and also to the Finlayson family.

This was a major reminder to me and I'm sure to many that driving can be very scary,  very unpredictable, and life is something you shouldn't take advantage of.
Live every moment like it was your last and Love like there is no tomorrow. Enjoy the little things of everyone.

4 years goes by FAST!

Yesterday was our Anniversary! YAY for us! 4 whole years!

Over Four years, we've gotten closer, Compatable with each others personalities, and tiggered our pet peeves (which we test daily)

I've spent the last fours years with my best friend, and love of my life. I couldn't ask for anything better.

To think that I met the love of my life in 8th grade 5th period Mrs. Bowman's Science class. I would have NEVER guessed that we would have ended up where we are now. Funny how life works sometimes.

Happy Anniversary babe! And Can't wait for all the many anniversaries we get to celebrate together!!

One step closer!

On Saturday I ahd to go to work... and I'm usually fine with it.. Until I look at the Wave and there are TONS on good Yard sales going on.

So I made Taylor go searching for me, hoping he would.
He is like th ULTIMATE Yard sale Furniture shopper. He found us these great love seat and chair for only $100.00!

After he showed me these and I was off of work, we went back to the Yard sale and bought the matching coffee table. :) I'm totally nesting right now and want to make everything my own... I suggested to Taylor that we should sand the coffe table down (which is in Great condition) and restain it, or even paint it something fun. That idea didn't fit well with him..

One step at a time and we'll have a really good looking home! now just a Washer and dryer for a great deal..

6 weeks

On Monday we had to go in and get his arms checked out.. The radiologist said it was a "plastic fracture." Which is for younger children, their bones don't break as easy as adults bones do, they bend to a certain point and then break. Kind of like a willow tree branch.
So of course since our luck this month hasn't been the ultimate best, we had to go to Primary Children's for an Orthopedic consultation.

Here's McGuire with the Splint....
Please Excuse the mess in the background..

Yesterday we had to go Primary Children's.. McGuire was such a great sport. He has MAJOR Stranger danger, and the nurses had to hold him for the radiograph since I can't with being prego and all.. At first he was scared to death.. but they were so warming and welcoming that it helped.

Here's the xrays of his arm...

This is the front view, can't really tell there is anything really wrong right....

This is the side view... That bone is NOT suppose to bend like that... This is the plastic fracture.

So we got to pick out a color for a cast.... He picked his favorite color, GREEN :)
They had this god send toy that calmed McGuire right down... so he was an angel during the cast making!

This is his mean face.. he really is excited about having the cast.. but he won't really tell you.

After the appointment McGuire says to me, "Mom, I'm like a superhero huh?!?"
I say back to him, "Your the ultimate superhero!"

6 weeks of no swimming, no dirt throwing and no bike riding... What we gonna do?!?

Crash on your bike.. you get back on it!

If you know McGuire, this time of the year is PRIME time for play! Bikes, scooters, skateboards, chalk drawing, running thru sprinklers, jumping on the tramp, throwing rocks and dirt, playing with the dogs,etc... basically anything outside!

Well last night while McGuire was out on his bike trying to overcome the fear of the gutter, he must of went at the wrong angle and fell. He started crying and milking his hurt left arm for all he had. I gave him loves, cuddled with him for an hour, then put "blue ice" on it (which is ice pak with blue gel). After a little bit he started acting fine. But wouldn't use his left arm for certain things like putting pressure on it. He would just hold it from time to time.

Of course I use the "Its still on his mind and he's milking it" thought process. So we go for a walk/bike ride for 20 minutes. McGuire was not afraid to get on the bike at all! After that, Taylor noticed his arm. His left arm was curved more then the other. That concerned us, maybe he wasn't milking it really (that made me feel REALLY bad). If you asked how his arm was feeling he would say, "Its ok!" But if you asked where does it hurt, he'd point to the same exact spot EVERYTIME! Since we're first time parents, we decided to go to the 5 minute clinic.

By the way, its a great place!

After checking it over and getting an xray, we discovered that he has a "Green line fracture" and he now has a splint on his arm. We are waiting to hear from the Radiologist for further details on it and to see if he needs a cast for further treatment.
McGuire was thrilled to go to the doctor. He always wants to go when we go for the baby appointments, but those ones aren't made for 3 year olds.
So the entire time he was a chatter box to the Doctor and "Doctor's helper"
He held so still for his xray, I couldn't be in there to help so I was hoping he would behave. and he was so good!

Anyways, I'll have pictures in a little bit.. just thought I'd let you know about our latest adventure of the Daggs Family!

I can't take it ANYMORE!!

If you wondering why I am so emotional and alot bigger... well.. our families calendar's are marked for Sept 30th! Yep you guessed it... FINALLY we're having another baby :)
McGuire is really excited! the baby has to be awake when he is awake.. When I get upset with him he tells me not to make to baby sad (then he starts crying). He has to kiss it goodnight and good morning everyday. I'm so happy he somewhat understands why mom is getting so big!
I'm about 15 weeks along, and boy does it show. :) We are all really excited, but not excited for the LONG HOT summer that lies ahead.
