Something to think about...

As my days are going by and by lately I have been thinking about going back to school. Taylor and I have been talking about it since another child at the moment is not the right time (I wish). I really really love my job at Midway Elementary! I love being able to help a child feel better about learning and making them better at the tough things they struggle in about school.

I love getting the hugs and the high fives for achievements that they have made. So I thought... Maybe I should go back to school to get my teaching degree. I wish it were that easy. First I have to get my generals done (BORE) and then I got to do some more classes, then I get to do my internship or student teaching. Then I thought again, I can;t really pay for all that right now and I can't really give up the time to be a full time student with a child.

So I came up with a great solution. I'm really excited to say it too! I'm going to go to Beauty School. I have two sisters who have done it and love their jobs, and I think I would love it too. I'm in the process of applying right now. But I'm not just going to do hair, I'm going to do nails, facial waxing, manicures, pedicures and make up.

I have a great feeling about this decision and I got the support of my whole family for it. What do you think?

I've been slacking!

Wow its been a little while since I have blogged. I guess I should tell you what's been going on in our household. During christmas break we just hung out at home, nothing too thrilling. But we put up our Christmas tree and McGuire absolutely LOVED it! He calls it a treet, and instead of leaving it alone like a good little boy McGuire has to throw all of his toys at it. Every morning we had to turn on the lights and weren't aloud to touch it after, it was HIS treet.

After Christmas I had to take it down because it was getting scary, he would throw his pillow pets and big books at it and the tree would almost fall on him. He loved that tree and lights so much when he found out I put it down he came up to me a yelled at me so loud I think my neighbors could hear, then I got a slap on my face. He was so mad at me the rest of the night.

Christmas day was so exciting for McGuire, Santa found our house after all them moving we had just done. We were so excited! McGuire had no idea that there were gifts under our tree, he just wanted his lights on. When we pointed out that there were some surprises there for him he was so thrilled! We let him open up the biggest one first (big mistake) it was a potty! He wanted to go potty they rest of the morning and open his presents that way. Lol my mom got a picture of us with him on it. He wouldn't get up from it. But all in all he had a great Christmas!

Last night we had to go to the hospital. McGuire had been getting sicker throughout the days of the weekend that I was thinking he had pneumonia (however you spell it) He was not going to sleep at all last night and I took his temp around 2:00 am, it was a whopping 103.1 and not getting lower! I don't know about you but that is truly scary for me. So I told Taylor we were headed to the hospital and that he should stay and sleep. (One of us had to go to work in the morning) Comes to find out that he is just really congested in his lungs, and his fever was going down. I'm glad he's sort of better, but we're home today just relaxing watching Dora the Explorer all day... Yay :s We'll be up and running tomorrow, hopefully!

Hope everyone had a great Holiday time with their families!

Stayed tuned for more adventures with the Daggs, something exciting might just happen.

Holidays are officially here!

Lately I've been a little away from the internet. We moved to a hamlet house, then had to move back... LONG story. But we're back in our lovely apartment and to be honest I couldn't be happier!

The Holidays are here and we're doing it the best we can this year! :) McGuire hadn't met Santa quite yet. So we thought we'd let him meet him at the Annual Midway Christmas Party. If you don't know how McGuire works here you go! When he is in an environment with all different kind of people he shuts down. Just stars and makes silly faces, and he did just that :) Here are some Pics ;)

He really didn't want his picture taken with Santa but we had to do it anyway :) I love the face so much though :)

We had our Thacker Family Christmas party last sunday night and everyone was able to make it ohter then my oldest niece (shes in southern Utah) and my oldest nephew who was out somewhere else.. But it was so fun to have everyone there :)  We had a nativity scene with the kids playing parts! It was so adorable!

The Star

Everyone at the manager

and again :)

It was the cutest thing to see everyone smiling and listening to the wonderful Gift of Christ. We sung songs and enjoyed everyones company! We may have alot of people in our family, but we sure do have a lot of fun! :)

Stay tuned for more adventures of the Daggs :)

Thanksgiving Weekend

Thanksgiving this year was a thanksgiving that will never be forgotten.... It was total bitter sweet time for us. I had work off wed, thurs, friday. So you can imagine my wonderful entertainment that I had... NONE other then McGuire which was pretty good.

Thanksgiving day we spent the day over at Taylor's parents house, which was pretty good. Everyone was there (which happens not too often) Just as soon as we get ready to serve dinner, McGuire decides to come up to me and have me love him, but really he just threw up all over me. Literally. I had to get a change of clothes from Mike's girlfriend, and I spent the rest of the thanksgiving there in pj's, and throw up in my hair.... yumm!

Black friday was surely black for McGuire and me. He wasn't feeling the slightest bit of good, since he didn't I didn't. So it was movie day for us. Come to find out Taylor's mother had a heart attack that day. Which we hadn't found out til the next day... But she is good now and just needs to take it easy...

Saturday and Sunday was a blur really. Just not fun at all. Until sunday dinner came around. That was when my mom's thanksgiving dinner was. It was fun to see everyone there. McGuire didn't throw up on me thank heaven.

This year made me think and realize all the things I am thankful for. It set me back to let me see all the things that people do for me and my little family. Even with the tough times everyone is there to help, whether it be health, wealth, or happiness issues, everyone is there to step in and help. I'm so thankful to be apart of that kind of environment.

I'm thankful for.... (no specific order)

- McGuire (I'm glad I can be there for him when he feels sick, even if I get the proof thrown on me ;) )
- Taylor, he works so hard for me and McGuire to live a great life.
- My family and friends, they never give up on me and are always there when I need to complain or need advice
- The roof over my head
- Food on the table
- comfy beds for my family
- my job that I love so much
- my computer
-my car (it gets through everything)
- the gospel
- my little family that is soo strong
The list really can go on and on.....

Thanks for letting me vent and complain for a split second. :)
Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving! :)

Stay tuned for more adventures, I know there will be more... SOON

Our baby is 2!

Yesterday was McGuire's 2nd Birthday! It really makes me tear up a little to see how much has happened in the last two years, and that has changed everyones lives around us. So many sacrifices and happy memories. McGuire knew it was a special day, not only for him but for his daddy. He was able to celebrate it with him this year. :) It was a great turn out for him I think!

McGuire now speaks in sentences with some made up words... has to eat with a fork and spoon, knows how to find mommy's hiding spaces in the house. Can count to ten (minus seven, its too hard) sings the ABC's in his own way, and HAS to organize everything (messy way or clean its still cute). He's growing so fast, I don't like it... :( But he's definitely a gentleman lol he covers his mouth when he coughs now, and is always there it comfort you when your having a bad day, asks you in a high pitch tone "Yous' ok mommy?" or if he got hurt by something "is hit (or hurt can't tell yet) me!"

We had a happy birthday breakfast and played all day long. That night we had family over for a fun little present opening and stuffing our faces with yummy cupcakes (McGuires favorite) It was all in our little brand new house that we just moved into last week :)

Here are some pics from the special day!

He had a great birthday and we're so glad he did! Next year we'll have a friend party! :)

New Story:

After bringing all of our stuff into the new house, I've managed to bring my clumsiness to the house as well. Example:
I was doing the dishes (WITH A DISHWASHER!!!) and managed to get the sauce bowl (got it from a restaurant long time ago) stuck in the garbage disposal. I was scared to tell Taylor because I don't want him upset with me lol. Luckily one of our good friends is a plumber and he was able to get it out and our drain up and running again! :) THANK HEAVEN! lol one of those memories that will be to make fun of me I'm sure.. lol

Just another one of the Adventures of the Daggs Family :)
Stay tuned for more great adventures!

Spooky Halloween!

This was the FIRST Halloween as a family for us this year! It was a BLAST! We carved pumpkins, ate tons of candy, had our first trick-or-treaters, and went trick-or-treating ourselves! McGuire was a lion, which thank heaven he let us out his hat on. But we had to wear hats too so he would keep it on!

Left - right:
Taylor's, McGuire's, and mine! :)

SOME GREAT NEWS!!!!!

WE"RE MOVING! We finally got a house! Its in midway and its a prefect starter home! :) I'll send pictures after i get everything set up! But Its way exciting, we're finally NOT throwing our money away for rent! :)

Also something neat!

Travis Pastrana was over at the Heber Airport over the weekend for another Nitro Circus moving (doing stunts in airplanes and such) and Taylor's shop is just up the street... Taylor was on his way home and saw him walking up the street, but didn't realize who it was and just did the peace sign....
Travis turned around and was like DAGGS! Luckily Taylor heard him. They talked for a little bit, Taylor and Travis used to race together back in the day when taylor was a pro racer. Isn't that just so cool! Taylor got his autograph so he had proof that Travis really was talking to him.
ITs way cool. I was so excited for him! Hopefully whe'll be able to do some cool racing and stunts with him soon!

Stay tuned for some more adventures of the daggs family!

Thanks for reading!

Stefanie

23 months old TODAY!

Welp today is the 14th of October.... That means in a month McGuire Jacob will be turning 2! Since he only has a month of being one... We decided that since he's to that point of life that he needs to grow up just a little bit :( He now sleeps in a BIG BOY BED! His reaction was so cute! He immediately jumped on the bed for literally 3 hours... Its the best entertainment for him and us!

That candy corn in his hand (he holds them more then eats them

Him sleeping peacefully in his big boy bed! I teared up of course. He hasn't fell out of it yet! :)

ALSO.... yes there is more :)

Over the weekend we went up to provo river falls... its a tradition the Thacker Family does in the fall. We always stop at this camp site that has a trail that leads you to a "fairy forest" Its way cool! Families like ours made this cool thing for others to see and decorated it like fairy land and have rocks painted with stuff and all sorts of different (and odd) things!

On our way home from this wonderful event, we discovered a NUDIST RANCH in KAMAS UT! Taylor and I were laughing so hard.. so we HAD to take a picture of it! The road that it was on was NUDIST RD. Ironic huh?!? lol

Check it out!

Theres ALWAYS an adventure with us! So stay Tuned! :)

Love,

The Daggs FAM!

Spooky days are here!

Over the weekend Taylor and I decided to get a head start on the halloween feel and go to Nightmare on 13th! I love this time of year and so does Taylor, so we were so stoked to be able to find a sitter and go. Here's the evidence!

That guy freaked me out and got in my bubble lol!

We loved it so much that we're going every weekend of this month! :) We also got a chance to scare another person there in a maze :) His face was so funny! I was laughing the rest of the haunted house! :) I think this might be my golden job for the rest of my life (to scare people)

Of Course McGuire had to have a little halloween also :)

"What do you think?" he asks :)

Tuesday was Taylors 23rd Birthday! This one was a special one cuz with the three years we've been together, we never had a chance to celebrate the day of his birth, due to the issues of then. But this is now and we had a blast! McGuire enjoyed alot of the balloons and frosting...

Here's my Birthday Man :) Probably the only decent pic I'll EVER get lol and this was off guard lol :)

Here is Taylors Cake:
But put a 23 on top and there it was :)

The party was held at his parents house, just cuz there is more room there lol :)

He's always happy to get his picture taken, can ya tell?!?

McGuire and papa and Baxter Burns (the dog by McGuire)

We can't wait for Halloween and for all the exciting events in-between! We'll let you know of course! Stay tuned!

OH p.s. before I forget!

We might be moving into our house like next week soonish! :) YAY for our new home! Pray for us!

Sincerely,

ME :)

This time of year....

The end of September for the past three years has been way hard for me... Its a rough one I guess you could say. September 26th, my best friend Shelbie McAffee turned 19. She passed away Sept. 30th, 2007 in a horrible car accident, on her homecoming date.

That weekend changed my life's path entirely... I couldn't handle the death very well and needed to stay close to my friends and family. So I moved from St. George, where I was living at the time to Heber. That's when my life started....

Shelbie was my best friend. The only person I really hung out with or talked to for 2 years, she was my little sister or I like to call her my soul sister.

She's been with me everyday since....
The day I got married she was the bird in the window hovering during the ceremony.
When I had McGuire she left an angels kiss on the back of his neck.
During my nieces prom and Shelbie's prom, she sat by me while we watched her friends dance.
During her senior year homecoming game, she sat next to me, literally nobody would sit next to me on my right side., and it was crowded...
I know she is still here when I need her, to be my guardian angel.
To see that I am safe and never alone.

My best friend, my soul sister....
I love her so much and she has taught me that we need to love each day as it were our last... she did. And to love everyone, even our enemies...
I know I will see her again someday and be able to give her a big hug! Til then I see her in my dreams, and we spend every night there....

Love you Shelbie Rose!
